The piqlBox has a total storage capacity of 118GB per reel. This equates to approximately 65,000 frames of film. We are currently researching and testing new technology that will double the data density.
Dimensions are 39.5 cm x 39.5 cm x 4.8 cm. You need to add some centimeters in length and width if you choose to seal it with aluminium.
The piqlBox is made in Norway through our partnership with Plasto AS, an industry leader in polymer.
Tested against extreme conditions, piqlBox maintains integrity in the harshest environments. The only real threat to survival is fire, so ensure the storage facility is fire-proof and you are safe.
Yes, you can safely store a copy of piqlBox in your own facilities. Keep in a conditions with less than 21°C and less than 50% humidity to maintain the longevity promise.
